Daft Punk, Phil Collins, Skrillex, Feed Me - Daft Collins (Vice & Sgt Slick Re-Edit)

Guys, I'm sad to admit it, but the end of an era is coming soon. Prevolutionary is at the end of its functional life. We don't have time to run it, it isn't a big enough priority in our lives (yes, we have lives) to keep it up. This being said, we are looking to develop a new site. One that takes this beta website into full production mode. I'll keep you posted.

This song is again, another kick ass mashup. The fact that someone mashed these types of artists together is fantastic, personally my favorite piece is during the interludes when you can hear Bangarang softly in the background. It just gives the song a better feel. I don't know. I'm kinda a bit put out/hungover to write a good review. Listen to it and download it below.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: Tiesto & DJ Punish - Shocker (Original Mix)

This is a classic example of a progressive house song. I believe Guru showcased this one about a year ago, but I feel like it deserves to be brushed off and brought back to your senses for eargasmic listening pleasure. Like all great progressive house songs, there is a steady build in perceived tempo, booming bass, fantastic synths, and a massive drop. I mean, at this point it's essentially a formula, but textbook precision isn't always possible. Here it is though. Fantastic song. Check it out and DL below.

Rihanna - Stay (Branchez Bootleg)

Believe it or not, I found this through Vine. I saw a slow mo 6 seconds of some guy dunking hard as hell on some poor, unfortunate soul. And here we are. Even without the image of that kid getting wrecked, this song is still bad ass. I will unabashedly say that it is better than the original, because it is. Rihanna's voice turned into a higher falsetto put over a slow piano melody is just straight fire. Download this now. Do it below. Enjoy

Will Sparks X Calvin Harris ft. Kelis - Melbournia Bounce (Craaze Mashup)

Agh, sorry guys, busy weekend for fall break, got caught up doin' a whole lot of nothin and forgot to post. My bad. It won't happen again *crosses fingers behind back*.

This is one for the gym. It is not, in my semiprofessional opinion, a club banger, although it is, in my semiprofessional opinion, a very good mix. It's upbeat, it has a bit of... the wild in it. Even though I've never been to Europe, it feels like something Europeans couldn't get enough of. I play this all the time when I'm walking to class, going for a run, or otherwise being active. I like it. Listen and DL below.

Footnote: Gonna post a few today hopefully to make up for my time off.

Frank Carmine - Shine (Dada Life, Sander Van Doorn, Capital Kings, Kyler England, Owl City, Denzal Park, Matt Nash)

Ah, this should be new for all of you. I couldn't even find a usable picture for the post, so shout out to the stock picture featured above. This has been one of my favorite songs in the last month or so. There probably hasn't been a day go by out of the last 30 that I haven't listened to this at some point. One of the smoothest mixes I've ever heard, the track choices, while not necessarily well known, are perfect for this and the transitions are so good they don't even seem to exist. This is feel good music. This is feel great music. DL and listen below.

Denzal Park - Amarok

It's been a few days since I've posted guys, sorry about it. I had a close friend take the time to visit me down here in the good ole South from back home where Yankees are from. It was a good time, and I didn't have time for you. Sorry not sorry.

Anyway, here we are with a track I'm sure most of you have heard somewhere, whether in a mix or just during a random set. It's one of the most widely sampled tracks in house sets, and has been for a while now, but it was only recently that I took the time to go find the original track. I must say, I'm glad I took the time. This one is absolutely an anthem, and it's quite obvious why "Amarok" is one of the standards in house music mixes today. The synths are, for lack of a more accurate description, simply legendary, and this reminds me of something the old Porter Robinson would have came up with. Check out the track and download it below.

Trademark - Stay Free (3LAU x Ke$ha, Afrojack & Tiesto x Naian)

Hot damn. I wish there was a legitimate radio station for house music, not just pop bullshit. This is the kind of song that brings me joy to discover. I love when progressive house mashups just seem so smooth and like they should have been an original single. Listening to this just makes me feel happy. Side note, I hate Ke$ha, but any house song that samples Timber for the most part is straight fire. Check it out and DL it below.

Paris & Simo - Zombie (3LAU TomorrowWorld Edit)

Well, it comes as no surprise to me that Guru brings the heavy hitters when he posts on the site. I don't know where the hell he finds the tracks he does, but I can't deny I'm grateful for his uncanny talent. However, this being said, I am going to bust my ass to figure it out and compete on his level.

So, in light of this friendly competition we have, I bring you Zombie, the 3LAU TomorrowWorld Edit. Paris & Simo originally remixed Zombie Nation's famous original track "Kernkraft 400". If you don't know the original by name, you've heard it somewhere, somehow. If you haven't heard it at least once in your life, I'm going to assume that you live happily under a rock studying earthworms for a living. Don't be that guy. Anyway, 3LAU is one of the best house DJs out there with a knack for remixing remixes, as it were, and he's one of my personal favorites. His mixtape Dance Filth Vol. 4 drops on October 13th, just a heads up, and I won't ever miss a chance to showcase an anthem of his on the site. This song is just excellent. It's smooth and hype, a rare combination in today's EDM world. The build is long, but somehow, it doesn't really detract from the upbeat nature of the track, it sort of lends it extra boom for its buck once the beat finally drops.

TLDR; I'm on an adderall binge, this song is fucking great, check the track and DL below. You won't be disappointed in 3LAU, because I never am. Enjoy.

Kill_mR_DJ - Wake Up Down Under (Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc vs. Men At Work)(Music Video)

If this isn't a day drinking song, I couldn't even begin to fathom what is. Two songs, one a classic, one an instant classic, meshed so perfectly into a tune that makes me just want to tip a cold one back on a beach somewhere. Possibly Australia, although I'll have to get back to you on that one, I'm a tad broke at the moment. Anyway, this one is a must download. Listen and cop it below.

Mashup Germany - Top of the Pops 2013 (Hey Brother) (Music Video)

Two things:

1.) This is by no means new, but it is by all means awesome.
2.) Does anyone else want him to make a new track that just entails the first 50 ish seconds? I mean come on. That. Shit. Is. Fire.

Anyway, this is an artist that I just recently discovered. Extremely talented, but it's very hard to get my hands on his tracks since he is actually from Germany's underground scene, and all of his files are hosted on German websites with odd torrent providers. Regardless. I love this. Apparently there are 90+ songs mashed into here, even though there's "only" about 20 that are anything more than a brief sound clip. This is, I'm afraid to say it, definitely the "Top of the Pops." Track and DL link below, dig it.

The Melker Project - Show Me Pound Cake ft. Jay-Z, Ellie Goulding, Chris Brown & Kid Ink

Damn. Talk about a smooth mashup. The Melker Project has caught my eye lately, and for good reason. I can guarantee you'll be seeing more of Scott Melker on here in the future. This track showcases his skills. There are three songs mixed into here, and it still sounds like an original track. It's just unbelievably smooth. Everything seems to be mixed in exactly the right place. It's no secret that Guru and I love Kid Ink, and having his somewhat recent hit "Show Me" mixed in with the beautiful voice of Ellie Goulding is just oh so satisfying. But don't take my word for it, check it out down below, along with the DL link.

Strange Talk - Morning Sun (Dillon Francis Remix)

And now, for something completely different. This one is the one you will hear in every DJ's set, mixed in some way or another. This is your club banger, your anthem, your top track. And be honest, how can it not be? Dillon Francis turned Morning Sun into pure eargasms. The synths here are just incredible. This one reminds me of how progressive house was a few years back, when Avicii was just blowing up, when Porter Robinson released Language. This is the house music I love. I have this on repeat as I'm typing these words. This is house. Track and DL link below.

Steve Aoki, Chris Lake, Tujamo - Delirious (Boneless) feat. Kid Ink

Holy hell, it's been a long time. I apologize, I'm sorry, lo siento. But between downing brewskis, tipping strippers, and driving golf balls off the deck of my yacht, I don't have a lot of time for the little guys anymore. That's you. Just kidding, I've been really caught up in trying to get my life caught up. Anyways, I'm back. Enjoy.

So, without further ado... holy hell. I'm assuming if you don't live under a rock you'll have heard the original version of Boneless with Juicy J by now. Even if you do live under a rock, your friends/neighbors probably played it so loud you heard it anyway. I'm not sure which I like better. Everyone knows Juicy J is the ragemaster, but I kinda like Kid Ink's rapping style, and I really like how he sings over the chorus. This is a very interesting remix, to say nothing of how easy it is on the ears. And I give it to you, free of charge. Track and DL link below.

Lorde - Tennis Court (Flume Remix)

Well damn. I am not a fan of Lorde. She looks like Luna Lovegood's evil twin, and I'm not a fan of how... apathetic? ... her music sounds. However Flume, all respect to him, turned this into one of the best remixes I've ever heard. It's overdope. That's also now a word. Listen and DL below.

Tiesto ft. Matthew Koma - Wasted (Ummet Ozcan Remix)(Music Video)

Might I just say... WOW. Oh. And also, sorry for the wait. Packing my life up and moving 500 miles back to the good old North took some time. Exams. Etc. Screw you guys, my life is hard. Anyway, WOW.

I'm sure most, if not all of you are familiar with the original track to "Wasted." It's great, and is probably one of my favorite tracks released in the last 6 months. This remix though, it's not half bad either. The music video makes me sure of it. Check out the video and track, above and below respectively.

Don Diablo, Matt Nash feat. Ellie Goulding - Starburn (Kap Slap Bootleg)

I've been debating whether or not I should post this one for a while. Now is the time. Such a good mix. It honestly sounds like it should be a single. Excellent house background music thrown together with Ms. Goulding's impeccable vocals. This is one of my lowkey favorites by Kap Slap in general. Track and DL link below, don't sleep on this one.

Zeds Dead - Hadouken

Here's a new joint from Zeds Dead. I'm not really sure how to classify this one, it's got a LOT of bass for a house mix, and it's got a lot of synths for a trap mix. Trouse. It's done, you can't unread it. Whatever. This is a good song. Listen to it and download it below.

Martin Garrix - Animals (Instant Party! Retwerk)

Alright, alright, alright. I know exactly what you're all thinking. "Another damn Animals remix? When will these Djs quit rehashing the same shit?" I'll tell you when. When they get it right. And Instant Party! finally got it right. I love the original tune but this remix has it beat. By far. I'm more into the trap end of the EDM spectrum, I enjoy a nice house anthem from time to time, but I had to put this up. This song says one thing. RAGE. Track and DL link below.

ZHU - Faded (Remix) ft. Sean Dee

If Guru is coming at you from the wasted angle of the party, I'm coming straight out the gate from the faded angle. And that's this song, for sure. It's perfectly named. Wasted is for the middle of the party. This track is for the end, when the party turns to haze in your mind. This song is experiencing the moments that you wonder whether or not were real when you wake up. Sean Dee delivers some solid verses, and ZHU, as always, delivers a fire track. Listen and DL below.

Steve Aoki - Rage The Night Away (Feat. Waka Flocka Flame)

When I first heard that Waka Flocka was entering the EDM scene, I was skeptical. Wasn't sure how his hip-hop ignorance was going to mash up with the EDM sound. "Wild Out" quickly silenced me. His intensity in that song made it. This song is a bit different, Waka still brought some intensity but not quite like he did in "Wild Out". Still enjoy the track though, can't wait to see what else this dude has in store.
